Microsoft is expected to announce an update to the Xbox Live service for the Xbox 360 on Tuesday, with the Xbox One version set to arrive later in the year.
The NLE for the Microsoft Xbox One will be an Xbox Live subscription, allowing users to purchase a subscription to use Xbox Live.
Xbox Live is currently the only place users can buy games, access content, and access a community of over 60 million players across Xbox Live’s six regions, as well as its Xbox Marketplace.
While Xbox Live will remain in place, Microsoft plans to move on to other services like the PlayStation Network and Apple’s App Store.
The Xbox 360 will launch in April 2019.
The PS3 version of the service is set to launch in May 2020, while the Xbox 720 will launch on October 19, 2020.
Microsoft previously stated the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the NRE will have two versions: a $10.99 one, and a $19.99 version.
Xbox 360 and Xbox One owners who are not Xbox Live subscribers will be able to play games and access content in their home networks.
The service will also be available for non-subscribers.
Microsoft also revealed that the Xbox Wire will also launch in 2020.
A few other details are expected to be revealed in the coming months.
Xbox One S owners can now access apps on Xbox One consoles for free with the addition of the Xbox App.
Microsoft is also adding the Xbox Hub to the Windows Store and Xbox Music to its music services, along with a new Xbox One Game Pass subscription service that includes games, Xbox Live membership, and free games.
